The Directorate is responsible for the University’s IT, digital and Library services and is a lead partner in the development and digital transformation of Keele University.
This post represents an exciting opportunity to join our small team providing frontline IT support to staff and students across the University. The IT Service Desk provides IT support remotely and from a physical Information Point situated within the busy Campus Library. You will be required to work on campus and from home, on a rota basis. The service operates into the evening and weekends during term time and you will be required to support this on a rota with other colleagues.
This role is principally customer facing providing technical support but also works with the wider IT team on key university projects such as the roll out of Microsoft Office to staff and students.
As the successful candidate, you will have a good knowledge of IT and proven experience in customer service. You will have a positive, customer-focussed attitude with good communication skills. You will have experience of designing and analysing data, problem solving and being able to think clearly and remain calm when under pressure.
